Chinese New Year : Ethnic Chinese residents in Phuket's Old Town decorate their homes, templates and streets with fruit, flowers and red banners during this two-day festival celebrating the Lunar New Year. Festivities include an elaborate dragon procession. Don't eat tofu this week. It's considered a bad omen. This celebration can occasionally occur in March.
